I'm a project lead-cum-software engineer, working with both web and mobile.
I'm Greek and Swedish, a self-professed geek, a sometimes writer, and interested in sci-fi, politics, philosophy, and all their radical intersections.
I love taking on ambitious projects, working directly with people of different backgrounds, and coordinating several disparate timeschedules. I've worked in startups before and have lead small teams. I like wearing many hats and dealing with challenging deadlines.
You can find me on several services, including twitter, pocket, github, and linkedin. You can also mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Some projects I've worked on:
- Forky: as Head of Mobile I lead the redesign project of the customer-facing mobile app to maximize user freedom, minimize required actions and apply a consistent look and feel throughout the products. I was responsible for managing the project, keeping an eye on deadlines, assigning briefs to the designer, then communicating the requirements to the dev team and breaking them down into tasks, as well as implementing them for the android platform.
- Forky driver app: as part of the team that launched Forky, I needed to implement the application the drivers would be using while delivering the products to customers. In a very short timeframe I designed, implemented and tested the application entirely on my own. It went on to be used daily by 100+ drivers for 3 years. Among others, the process included performing experiments to determine the ideal strategy for powering on the GPS circuit in order to minimize battery consumption with minimal effect on the accuracy of the results.
